I was walking around outside my office the other day and I noticed a massive flock of seagulls (that's right), flying overhead. I decided to quick try and take some photos that I am going to share with you today. Usually, the bird all start to fly south this time of year. It's a migratory thing, I don't know... science, but in this case, these seagulls were actually flying up the coast to the north.
I was trying to think of the perfect way to start this post today, and things just kind of fell into place with the markets not necessarily going the way we want right now. Sure, the pump to an new ATH of $126 was pretty awesome, but like a lot of people, I think there was some hope that it was going to keep going. Of course, there is still time for it to go up an this is likely people taking some gains, but it still can be a bit disheartening at times.
As always, it is important to zoom out and remember that we are still over $120K. That's pretty freaking awesome if you think back to the past. The lowest I can remember BTC after I started following it was around $3000 per coin in March of 2018 or 2019 I think it was. Okay, maybe I don't remember as well as I thought I did.

BRO
If you are part of the BRO community or you have heard of it before, they have some big news coming out today. I would keep your ear to the ground for that. It's pretty rare that we see exciting new stuff happen here on HIVE. It's mostly just people scraping away from some votes or people pilfering the DHF with ridiculous proposals. I'm actually tempted to write my own, but my morality seems to be getting in the way.
Like I said, keep your eyes open for some news dropping later this morning. It could be pretty cool.
Random Pics

I can't remember if I shared this photo earlier, but I wanted to throw it out there for @seattlea. I apologize if I already shared it. I remember I started writing a post a while ago and then I scrapped it and took it in a different direction and I think this photo was in the part that I threw away.
I stopped at the local Costco the other day to fill up @mrsbozz's car. I think he tank holds just about 14 gallons, so it is relatively small, but it's a 4 cylinder, so it gets pretty good gas mileage. Anyway. Almost 13 gallons of gas for $40. That's pretty typical around where I live. Prices have been floating between $2.80 per gallon and $3.20 per gallon most of the summer. It just depends on which gas station you go to and where it is located.
Precious Metals

I wrote a post a while ago about the health and medicinal benefits of silver. I also mentioned a bit ago that I recently had a wart removed off the bottom of my foot. The doctor prescribed me this antibiotic cream to put on it twice a day as I change the dressing to help promote healing and keep it clean. I was delighted to find out it was silver sulfadiazine cream as you can see from the photo above.
The cream actually does contain silver though in quite small amounts. The silver has antimicrobial properties and the sulfadiazine is an antibiotic.
In another funny precious metals story, I was watching my nephew at football game the other day and @mrsbozz's mom turned to my father in law and asked if he had turned in her gold teeth. My wife asked why and I immediately said "because gold just went over $4000 an ounce!". Her mom confirmed that was exactly why she was asking, but it turns out he had sold the gold filings years before.

Fall is starting to settle in here, and it is hard to believe that we are almost to the middle of October. I don't think things have been quite as exciting as many hoped, but there are others who aren't that surprised with the slog we have been trudging through.
@mrsbozz and I are heading on our final camping trip of the summer this weekend and while I hope to just relax, I am still planning on taking my laptop in case any exciting crypto stuff happens. As long as my hotspot can get signal I guess!
I have a ton more I planned on talking about today, but I don't want this post to drag on too long, so I am going to close for the week. I hope you have an amazing time and I hope the markets give us something to smile about this weekend. If not, smile anyway, it's good for you!

Thank you for contributing more great content to the #SilverGoldStackers tag.
You have created a Precious Gem!
Did you see Steem Basic Income is tokenising as well and Keychain has gone multichain. All the news this week bozz. whats happening with BRO.
No, I didn't see that. You will just have to pay attention to find out! I'll have to dig into the SBI thing. I think I hold a bit of that.
No change for existing members; it's opt in, primarily to support liquid exit for those who need it. Soon there will be dividends on the token (still opt in).
In effect, existing members can choose to stick with voting units or to convert into liquid tokens if they need to sell.
Okay thanks, sounds good!
Yeah you have a few alright. I saw you on the richlist beside me I think.
Oh, I better start paying more attention then!
New things on Hive would potentially be good. It's Hivefest soon but I don't see much about it compared to previous years. I saw a list of speakers and they didn't seem to be from Hive, well some of them anyway. I think the last thing I did that BRO were involved with was the DailyDab but then ssuk said they didn't do much.
Bitcoin is still way up so I don't really know what people are wanting, even ETH too. HIVE is doing what it is doing. That whole DHF thing is just helping a downward spiral in price.
It's been nice to see the renewed interest in analytics here. We have a few really great tools that people have been working on recently. I hope you enjoyed the seagull photos. I didn't tag you, but I threw those out there for you :)
Ah yes the one from holozr is pretty cool. Hehe the seagulls were cool and I always dropped a Flock of Seagulls video as a comment lol.
Pretty weak cycle so far, but Josh Mandel says we hit $444k on 8th Nov, so there is some hope yet. At least we get to see silver reach new highs not seen in 15 years! Time to offload methinks! LOL
Your fuel is still way cheaper there than here, we pay around $1,80- $1,90 for a liter.. is that around $7 per gallon? And thats with a strong euro right now.
The problem is I am at the point in the year where I need to buy silver not sell it! Yikes! Wow, that is some expensive gas! Hopefully things turn around this cycle.
I'm waiting to hear the news from Ray today!
I too would be morally constrained from writing up my own proposal. It just seems so much is pilfered into people pockets and they are simply using the funds to live rather than what they were intended for originally...
Precious metals will continue to be expensive with the world's messes and economic instability. There may have been a bit of a slap down yesterday but profit taking is always expected. Now we'll see where they head next!
I hope you're heading out somewhere nice for the weekend and that the weather cooperates. It really must save a fortune having your camper vs staying in hotels. Even the cheap ones aren't nearly as cheap as they used to be! Enjoy your weekend and make sure to bring along the bourbon and rum to enjoy some sipping as well!
Campgrounds aren't as cheap as they used to be. Many of them are pushing $50 per night if not more lately. Still less than a hotel for sure. At least the nice ones! I have a feeling we are going to be a bit chilly this weekend, even with a fire going.
I don't feel like I could criticize the DHF and then go and write my own, but I am quite tempted seeing the money some of these projects are getting for so little effort or work. It's not fair to the legitimate projects.
Nothing is cheap anymore is it? Kind of a sad reality in life these days in our country, prices back twenty years ago are long gone! At least you'll have that fire to help stay a little warm along with some nice beverages!
I agree on the DHF, it really isn't right.
Yes, my wife already said it might not be a night where we stay out until 11 PM like some of other ones. We will likely have to turn on the heater in the trailer.
I think your fuel is generally much cheaper than ours, but we have a pretty high tax rate on it. I don't drive much these days, so I don't really keep track of the price.
When one of the family was in hospital some years ago they put him in a trial where he had some pyjamas with silver tread in them to see if it cut some of the common infections. Not sure if it worked.
I'd care more about Bitcoin if I had any, but I missed that boat. I know some say it will go much higher, but I'm not that bothered.
We have a lot of taxes on fuel too, but I am not sure how they really compare. That is interesting about the silver thread. I know they use copper like that sometimes in braces and supports.
Looks like there is a bit of a difference!
$2.80 a gallon that is $ 0.70 a liter ... , that is very cheap overhere in Holland i pay € 1.919 per liter that is $ 2.22 usd per liter .
I guess if they would raise the gass price in the US to the European prices , mostly tax btw , the US debt would drop quickly 😁
No, they would still find a way to blow the money! Or they would pocket all the extra. It's ridiculous.
