Today I would like to show you two alcohol ink paintings of opposite temperature along with some presentation suggestions. Considering how fast alcohol dries during the painting process, ink flow art is not really suitable to large format artwork. Besides being cost prohibitive as well, alcohol inks are not very lightfast.
Luckily, we can easily take our original art to the local copy shop, where we can have it scanned and printed out with archival inks in any size we desire, giving us the kind of display options we like. Since we make prints anyway, we might as well forgo the mailing of the physical artwork to the collector and sell high resolution scans packaged as NFTs instead. Heute möchte ich euch zwei Alkoholtintenbilder von entgegengesetzter Temperatur zusammen mit einigen Präsentationsvorschlägen zeigen. Wenn man bedenkt, wie schnell Alkohol während des Malvorgangs trocknet, ist Ink Flow Art nicht wirklich für großformatige Kunstwerke geeignet. Alkoholtinten sind nicht nur kostspielig, sondern auch nicht besonders lichtecht.
Glücklicherweise können wir unsere Originalwerke problemlos zu einem Copyshop am Ort bringen, wo wir sie einscannen und mit Archivtinte in jeder gewünschten Größe ausdrucken lassen können, so dass wir die gewünschten Präsentationsmöglichkeiten haben. Da wir ohnehin Drucke anfertigen, können wir auch auf den Versand der physischen Kunstwerke an den Sammler verzichten und stattdessen hochauflösende Scans in Form von NFTs verkaufen. As you can see in this example, the above principles hold true for pretty much any painting.
Wie ihr an diesem Beispiel seht, sind die obigen Prinzipien auf praktisch jedes Gemälde anwendbar.

Thank you. I like alcohol inks, because they are so unpredictable and dry faster than I can think. That puts a lot of spontaneity in the painting process - use it, or lose it. A kind of meditation under duress :) The outcome is very much reminiscent of watercolor, only, the alcohol is even more capricious.
@caro-art That sounds awesome and makes sense that you like it because of that reason. I never tried alcohol inks, but I'm getting curious about it 😊
Give it a shot. A few inks, a liter of isopropylalcohol, and a pad of artificial paper (e.g. "Steinpapier" around here) will get you started. Use a curling blower, not a hair dryer, to manipulate the ink. (They're not as hot and strong as hair dryers.)
