Hi folks,
This picture was taken in a very nice park in the suburbs of the city.
I made a 5 hours session alone that night. I played no music at all, enjoying the sounds of nature (mostly frogs and ducks, because of the love season).
For that specific picture, I wanted to use the light-pollution of the city mixed with the clarity of the sky to get a nice fade on the background. I worked on a set of stairs and a fence with a pair of LEE filters (a light-blue and an orange one), a powerful flashlight, a gimbal head to make the camera rotate on its axis and a cardboard to cap/uncap the lens when wanted.
For the abstract light calligraphy, I used a homemade LED stripe, a translucent plexiglas rod and a simple orange LED.
It was that kind of session when you feel really well and ideas come without any effort at all. It's all good 😀
It was a very nice session and it gave me a lot of positive energy for my upcoming projects.

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
