25 years ago at college I took the hardware+ and the A+ certification. I owned a lot of tools for doing hardware jobs at the time. I bet both the tools and the knowledge has mostly completely changed since then. Well, except at older places that have never upgraded, like those banks you read about from time to time who are still running old machines and looking for people who know COBOL.

You know I never took the tests. I was always afraid I would spend the money and then fail. I'm sure I could pass it, but I never was a good test taker. Thankfully, my job never required it. My worker just got his certification a couple of months ago.
