It's true. Ground chuck is running about $4 per pound right now. It's still been up since Covid.

My wife is actually vegan, so I don't buy any beef here. No idea what the price is. Fast food hamburgers are about the same as they've been for the past several years - ¥240, which is around a buck fifty at the current exchange rate.

That's a dang good deal. I think around the same time there was some stuff going on with chickens so the price of beef went up. I think a lot of it had to do with transportation and processing with most of those industries being shut down. I usually try to get it from my cousin if he has some extra. $2 a pound from him.
