Good morning everyone!
In the past few days I had the opportunity to participate to a beautiful medieval themed party in Bologna, an Italian city in the Emilia-Romagna region. In particular, we are in the small medieval village of Castel del Rio, also called by the Latin name of Castrum Rivi. This particular name derives from the fact that in the middle of the city passes a large river (Rio). Every year an important medieval festival takes place here, involving the whole town: the mayor, adults and children! Each person is free to participate in the event by dressing up with a medieval theme and parading in the city squares. In addition, historical themed activities are also organized such as the burning of the witch, the ancient conjuring tricks and the flight of falconers. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the party has been postponed for two years, but today the situation finally seems to be back to normal. I was very pleased to participate in this event and I thought I'd share some photos of the good times with you! I hope you like them.

Buongiorno a tutti!
Nei giorni passati ho avuto la possibilità di partecipare a una bellissima festa a tema medievale a Bologna, una città italiana della regione Emilia-Romagna. In particolare, siamo nel piccolo borgo medievale di Castel del Rio, chiamato anche con il nome latino di Castrum Rivi. Questo nome particolare deriva dal fatto che nel mezzo della città passa un fiume (Rio) di grandi dimensioni. Ogni anno qui si svolge un’importante festa medievale che coinvolge tutto il paese: sindaco, adulti e bambini! Ogni persona è libera di partecipare all’evento travestendosi a tema medievale e sfilando nelle piazze della città. Inoltre, sono anche organizzate delle attività a tema storico come il rogo della strega, gli antichi giochi di prestigio e il volo dei falconieri. A causa della pandemia da Covid-19, la festa è stata rimandata per due anni, ma oggi finalmente la situazione sembra essere tornata alla normalità. Mi ha fatto davvero molto piacere partecipare a questo evento e ho pensato di condividere con voi qualche foto dei bei momenti! Spero vi piacciano.
