Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. This digest intends to bring to light all those authors who often remain unnoticed and therefore reward all those who create quality posts, leading them to establish themselves on the platform. But that's not all!
After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?

Discovery-it: Morning portrait edition and afternoon flies

by @fanigunawan

If you’re passionate about natural landscapes, then this new post by fanigunawan is for you. The author shows us some great photos representing the ocean. “On this occasion I used a small boat made of wood using a Dompeng 20 PK machine. I used it as transportation to take some photos in the morning. Today and apart from that, I also use it as a fishing tool using traditional fishing gear, namely gill nets” the author told us.

[ENG/ESP] Santa Rosa Castle: History and Architecture

by @taniagonzalez

In this nice post taniagonzalez brings us to discover Santa Rosa Castle. “It is located in La Asunción, the capital of the state, Arismendi municipality, Nueva Esparta, Margarita Island, Venezuela. To access the castle, brick steps led me to the main gate. At the top of this, there are two engraved marble tombstones that highlight, among other things, the date of construction” this is how the story started.

Barred Owl

by @steven-patrick

The protagonist of today’s post by steve-patrick is a lovely owl. “This owl was in our backyard on a skinny, bare tree in the middle of a swampy area. It was the golden hour, you can see the orange glow on the tree above the owl. The owl was in the shadow of our house avoiding the bright light” the photographer said.

The volcanic and geothermal playground of northern Iceland 🌋

by @miljo76

In this great post miljo76 brings us to discover Iceland. “Our first stop was at the Hverir geothermal area. A landscape of grey and orange colours, mixed with dense white clouds of steam…” this is how the trip started. Don’t miss this adventure!
