Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?

✏️ Sketch of Girl – 51

by @zilustras

Today’s sketch by zilustras represents a girl and it’s a pencil artwork over a sketchbook page tinted with coffee. “In the photography I used as reference the model was partially dressed, so I had to undress her with my x-ray imagination” the artist said. Don’t miss it!

Bukidnon Hobbit Town - Little Shrine of Middle Earth

by @yumaie28

Yumaie28 shares with us a nice travel report about the Hobbit Town of Bukidnon, Philippines. Hobbits or most commonly known as halflings (in the average of four feet to two feet tall) considered as children by the humans and other races in the movie. They are the primary character of the Lord of the Rings authored by J.R.R Tolkiens. The author shares with us some great photos from this particular experience.

L'uomo che fuma/Smokin' man - digital art (ITA-ENG)

by @elvisxx71

The protagonist of today’s artwork by elvisxx71 is a huge man, full of tattoos, with shaved hair and unkempt beard and serious look. In his hands he has a cigarette and a glass of whiskey with a couple of ice cubes. “For this drawing I focused on the details, in the rendering phase I worked mainly on the skin and facial expression, in postproduction with Photoshop, I had fun making the smoke, using a four different brushes, with different shades of white and gray. I inserted a blurred background with gray/blue tones” the artist said. The final result is simply amazing!

TeleTuesday - Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-oh

by @gtown

In today’s post by gtown you can find a beautiful performance of the song Jambalaya written in 1952 by country singer/songwriter Hank Williams. In particular, the version that this solo is from is a cover by the brother and sister band The Carpenters recorded about 20 years later in 1973. Don’t miss it!
