Never saw a banjo up close in my life
Television did my generation wrong. 😆 I really thought it was a spooky place not the amazingly rich environment that I now know it is. I went to do some work in Ithaca New York, so I was right up close and cozy with the Appalachians. Sadly, I haven't been to the Andes, but I've been to some parts of Central America, which contain the Sierra Madre chain, including the Arenal volcano in Costa Rica (I just looked it up and it is not part of the Sierra Madre but close enough ;)
