It evoked so many things that have happened in my life since I was a little pigeon. Mommy abandoned me and my five little brothers. In the darkness, the cold of the night made us hug each other for warmth in the hope that the sun would rise the next day. I raised my eyes to the sky, asking for the chance to be happy, to find someone who would help me and love me to get out of this horror. An eagle took two of us away, one day a being appeared who says he is a human but he is only a predator. He put us in a cage. I never saw the butterflies, the sun, or felt the morning breeze again. From there we were taken to a tent where there were many birds.
After many months of being coop,ed up, one fine spring afternoon I saw him. He was there staring at me with those dark, curious eyes. He smiled at me and winked. I:t was love at first sight, my heart was ra,cing. It's not what you rascals are thinking. For the first time I felt that peace that fills the soul.
He came into the tent and talked for a long time with my jailer. He came up to me, and said "let's go home, my little friend". At last I found a sincove, a FRIEND. Yes, friends are those beings that accompany us, never abandon us and give us the love we need to go on in life.
My name is Cooky and I am Jonathan's best friend. Don't you know who he is?
As I was telling you, I was fed with milk because I was very small and I didn't have the strength to eat. Little by little I recovered physically and psychologically. His attention, games and cuddles have made me recover my self-esteem.
He says his name is @oscurity, but that name does not go with his personality. He is a sensitive man full of love to give.
He has a deep voice. When he hugs me I feel protected. It's been five months now and life by his side is the best thing that has happened to me. After so much pain, I am finally happy.
These months have helped me to reflect on life and human beings. I am grateful because it has allowed me to live and to know Jonathan. Together we bask in the sun and enjoy each other from a drop of dew. Even if a clap of thunder that makes us shudder, I remember that we are one and that I will never be alone again.
Evocó tantas cosas que pasado hanen la vida desde que era un pichoncito. Mami nos abandonó a mí y a mis cinco hermanitos. En la oscuridad, el frío de la noche nos hacía abrazarnos para darnos calor con la esperanza de que el otro día saliera el sol. Alzaba mis ojos al cielo, pedía la oportunidad de ser feliz, de encontrar a alguien que me ayudara y amara para salir de este horror. Un águila se llevó a dos de nosotros, un día apareció un ser que dice que es un humano pero es solo un depredador. Nos metió en una jaula. No volví a ver las mariposas, el sol, o a sentir la brisa de la mañana. De allí nos llevaron a una tienda donde había muchas aves.
Después de muchos meses encerrados, una linda tarde de primavera lo vi. Estaba allí mirándome fijamente con esos ojos oscuros y curiosos. Me sonrió y guiñó un ojo. Fue un amor a primera vista, mi corazón latía aceleradamente. No es lo que ustedes están pensando, picarones. Por primera vez sentí esa paz que llena el alma.
Entró a la tienda y habló un largo rato con mi carcelero. Se me acercó, y dijo “vámonos a casa, amiguito”. Al fin encontré un amor sincero, un AMIGO. Si, los amigos son esos seres que nos acompañan, nunca nos abandonan y nos brindan el amor que necesitamos para seguir en la vida.
Me llamo Cooky y soy el mejor amigo de Jonathan. ¿No sabes quién es?
Como les decía, me alimentaba con leche ya que era muy chiquito y no tenía fuerzas para comer. Poco a poco fui recuperándome física y psicológicamente. Su atención, juegos y mimos me han hecho recuperar mi autoestima.
Dice que se llama @oscurity, pero ese nombre no va con su personalidad. Es un hombre sensible y lleno de amor para dar.
Tiene una voz profunda. Cuando me abraza me siento protegido. Ya han pasado cinco meses y la vida a su lado es lo mejor que me ha pasado. Después de tanto dolor, por fin soy feliz.
Estos meses me han servido para reflexionar sobre la vida y los seres humanos. Agradezco porque me ha permitido vivir y conocer a Jonathan. Juntos nos calentamos al sol y disfrutamos desde una gota de rocío. Aunque un trueno que nos haga estremecer, recuerdo que somos uno y que no voy a volver a estar solo.

This dish, for Venezuelans and my family, means love and celebration. It came to Venezuela hand in hand with Italian immigrants and consists of alternating layers of pasta with meat, tomato sauce, and cheese.
The pasta was prepared at home, although over the years it was commercialized. Pasticho is eaten in all countries, varying the ingredients but in essence it is the same.

Este plato, para los venezolanos y mi familia, significa amor y celebración. Llegó a Venezuela de la mano con los inmigrantes italianos y consiste en alternar capas de pasta con carne, salsa de tomate, y queso.
La pasta era preparada en casa, aunque con el transcurrir de los años fue comercializada. En todos los países se come pasticho, variando los ingredientes pero en su esencia es el mismo.

Acepto el reto amigo @oscurity y les traigo mi pasticho para participar.
My recipe is special, it includes eggs and green peas. This is optional, if you do not want to put them, however it gives it a special flavor. I invite you to try it.
Mi receta es especial, incluye huevos y guisantes verdes. Esto es opcional, si no desea no se los ponga, sin embargo le da un sabor especial. Los invito a probarlo.
½ kilo of ground beef, ½ kilo of ripe tomatoes, sweet bell pepper, paprika, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion, parsley, chives and grated buffalo cheese.
Bechamel sauce: milk, nutmeg, 1 teaspoon butter, salt, wheat flour or cornstarch.
½ kilo de carne de res molida, ½ kilo de tomates maduros, ají dulce, pimentón, ajo, salsa inglesa, sal, cebolla, perejil, cebollín y queso de búfalo rallado.
Bechamel: leche, nuez moscada, 1 cucharadita de mantequilla, sal, harina de trigo o maicena.
Step 1: I cut the onion, sweet bell pepper and chives into small pieces. I crushed the garlic, and blended the tomatoes with the paprika.
Then I sautéed the garlic, added the onion, chives and sweet bell pepper. Then I added the meat, salt and Worcestershire sauce. I let it cook for a while over low heat and brown. I added the blended tomatoes and paprika.
Paso 1: Corté en trocitos pequeños la cebolla, ají dulce y cebollín. Trituré el ajo, y licué los tomates con el pimentón.
Luego sofreí el ajo, agregué la cebolla, el cebollín y el ají dulce. Luego la carne, sal y salsa inglesa. Dejé por un rato cocinar a fuego lento y dorar. Agregué los tomates y el pimentón licuados.
Step 2: Slice the eggs and slice the ham. Grate the cheese and prepare the béchamel sauce.
Paso 2: Corté en rodajas los huevos y en lajas el jamón. Rallé el queso y preparé la bechamel.
Step 3: I assembled the pasticho by alternating the layers. I oiled the pan, added bechamel sauce, a layer of pasta, ham and eggs.
Paso 3: Armé el pasticho alternado las capas. Unté aceite a la bandeja, agregué bechamel, una capa de pasta, de jamón y huevos.
Step 4: at the end I added bechamel sauce and grated cheese.
Paso 4: al final le puse bechamel y queso rallado.
