Ventottesimo capitolo relativo ad OpenHAB 3.
In questo video approfondiamo il database influxdb v. 1.8, utilizzato come motore di persistenza di openhab, parlando di retention policy e di aggregazioni storiche, in ottica di ottimizzazione della quantità di dati memorizzati.
In particolare andremo a vedere come gestire la profondità storica dei dati immagazzinati andando a cancellare i dati storici oppure andandoli ad aggregare su unità di tempo maggiori per ridurne la quantità e quindi lo spazio occupato senza andare a perdere l'informazione.
Introduciamo quindi i concetti di Retention Policy e di Continuous Query, caratteristiche native dei database Influxdb che nella mia attuale installazione di openhab2 non ho mai approfondito e quindi applicato, ma in ottica di migrazione alla versione 3 volevo iniziare ad usare.
Questo video non ha la presunzione di essere un tutorial, ma semplicemente uno step by step di quanto fatto per raggiungere l'obiettivo. La speranza è che possa essere d'aiuto a qualcuno.
