How fortunate to be able to live in the midst of so much nature, although I find the encounter with a mother bear a bit frightening, I have seen in videos how aggressive they can be.

They are lovely. My son comes home from there very relaxed. It's a tonic.
I'm thinking of sending my nephew some bear spray as a gift. May seem odd, but perhaps a good idea. What if that bear tried to get in the house!!!!😮😄
