Ah, yes, the learning curve :) I tought myself, and that was brutal journey. I'm still no expert (and probably will never be ) but I'm in a place where while using Blender not behave like travolta.gif.
I found that for simple stuff in 3d You can start with online apps like https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing/sketchup-free or https://onshape.pro/nextlayer
They are friendly, not overwhelming, and kinda free.
And when you're ready Jump into powerhouse like blender :)
