This beautiful bride and her grandmother were so close but unfortunately grandma passed on before she could witness her wedding

This young lady thought of a way to honor her grandma and somehow feel her presence on her special day so she had me paint her portrait on a piece of her traditional wedding attire called (Ìpèlé). Isn’t that just beautiful?!

This was made with acrylic on Canvas. I had to do a base layer of thick paint because the fabric is so rough and porous.
