Now - towards the end of August - we still have very high temperatures during the day and too little rain.
The rivers are drying up more and more, the Rhine has less water than ever before, and ship traffic is almost at a halt.
The city of Frankfurt is already appealing to its residents to save water and not to waste it.
The drought and dryness has us firmly in its grip!
Jetzt - gegen Ende August - haben wir untertags immer noch sehr hohe Temperaturen und zu wenig Regen.
Die Flüsse trocknen mehr und mehr aus, der Rhein hat so wenig Wasser wie nie, die Schifffahrt kommt fast zum Erliegen.
Die Stadt Frankfurt appelliert bereits an ihre Bewohner Wasser zu sparen und nicht zu verschwenden.
Die Dürre und Trockenheit hat uns fest im Griff!
