Today was a monotonous day, but I managed to find a way to improve one of my skills, which I'm going to talk about in this post.
In writing class we have one regular homework in addition to various assignments. We have to exchange emails with each other, writing in formal English. I really liked this idea because I have wanted to work on my formal vocabulary for a long time.
I decided to do something more along these lines, so I found a site that connects pen pals from all over the world and sent them their first email. The great thing about virtual letters is that they only reach their friends after the amount of time they would have been delivered in real life. This is a few hours or so after the letter has been sent. This prevents the usual chatting and encourages the writing of long letters. I hope my writing skills will improve with this.

Dzisiejszy dzień był monotonny, ale udało mi się znaleźć sposób na ulepszenie jednej z moich umiejętności, o czym zamierzam opowiedzieć w tym poście.
Na zajęciach z pisania mamy oprócz różnych zadań jedną regularną pracę domową. Musimy wymieniać między sobą maile, pisząc po angielsku w formalnym języku. Bardzo spodobał mi się ten pomysł, ponieważ od dawna chciałam popracować nad formalnym słownictwem.
Postanowiłam zrobić coś więcej w tym kierunku, dlatego znalazłam stronę łączącą pen pals z całego świata i wysłałam im pierwszego maila. Wielkim plusem jest to, że wirtualne listy docierają do znajomych dopiero po takim czasie, w którym zostałyby dostarczone w rzeczywistości. Jest to kilka lub kilkanaście godzin po wysłaniu listu. To zapobiega zwykłemu czatowaniu i zachęca do pisania długich listów. Mam nadzieję, że moje zdolności pisania poprawią się dzięki temu.
