I find the history behind these buildings fascinating but i do think these religious groups spends an aweful lot of money on massive buildings when maybe they should be helping their communities, rather than taking from them.
These faith based religions have a ton load of money tucked away in coffers somewhere and in their buildings.
We have a local church here it has 3 different christian religions attending the same church with the same priest because there are not enough people attend it.
They have a church, a house, loads of land and the priest has a pretty expensive car.
Seems odd to me as their saviour Jesus said to get into the kingdom of God, you have to give away all your wealth.
Not to mention he was nieither a christan and did sermons on hillsides and mountains.
I doubt this is what Jesus had in mind, but hey nice building i guess. 🤣

🤣, I absolutely agree with all of that. Money makes the world go around, and of course all these symbolic things cost a great deal to run. You can see the struggle all around this building, like paving that needs to be re-laid etc.
