It turned out to be a really hot day for us in the southwest of England today. Luckily, I went out for a run early before it started to get too hot. I did just over 9km along my usual route to Saltford and back. My intention was to take it easy as this was my first run since my operation on Monday, but as it felt so easy to start with, I naturally went a bit quicker. I should have been more disciplined as after just a couple of km, I started to suffer, and I found completing the run very hard work.
The rest of the day I spent around the house, so even though I did a 9km run, I've only just managed to get over 10000 steps today.
I didn't take any pictures while running this morning, so today's pictures are just a few random shots from my back garden. It turns out ants are much harder to photograph than I had anticipated.
Thank you for reading, and I'll be back tomorrow.

G'day sport, It seems as though you've had a jolly good day in England with Andy the Ant (it has a name now so you can't kill it😜), alas up here in Scotland we are being blessed by eternal rain and crappy food.
Andy is it! Do you happen to know the names of the rest of the family. I'm guessing about a million of them in my garden!
I hope the weather improves for you soon but I've always enjoyed the food when I've visited Scotland.
