Plan for the day is to visit my son. We were slow moving - stopped in Nowra to buy great ingredients for lunch. It was hot.
First photo of my son, Becs and Scarlett together
A granddaughter is very special to me
The dog was super happy to see us. I cooked a simple BBQ lunch. Scarlett was quiet so her mum got to eat the whole meal without disturbance
Becs is a magician with plants - her orchids
Mother-in-law tongue has pushed out a flower literally within two weeks of being repotted. They do this when they get potted in too small a pot - under pressure they push out a flower
We headed home when it was time for Scarlett to have her nap. Was a stinking hot afternoon. I did push myself to get out on the bike to walk a bit.
Did find one orchid budding - common hyacinth orchid
Fire ant nest. Managed to avoid getting bitten - the last one took 10 days to subside
Did find something flowering up high - banksia serratum
The only flowers on the ground were Australian native violets
They are very pretty. What I have observed is there are no orchids where these prosper
Pleased I pushed to get out
I get a weekly report on what I use the phone for - a lot to do with these posts. Edit the photos - write the Actifit posts and keep connected with my Facebook community. Good to get paid for some of it
