For my second free day we took our granddaughter for a walk around Ifield Mill Pond. There are many different birds to see here just like Tilgate Park.

Swans with cygnets, myriads of Canada geese, and all kinds of wild fowl.

A walkway has been built right across the main lake giving excellent views of nesting areas around the periphery.

The Canada geese are fearless of humans now and they seem to expect to be fed. But as soon as a dog appears that's a different story, they scatter and move away.

I really enjoy walking around the parks near our town. They are well kept and looked after. Tilgate Park borders a larger forest area which provides longer walks for miles if that is what you desire!
