I remember when I was a kid I used to travel with my bike 10km into town and 10km back just to buy one of those then spend countless hours watching some animated pixels on my tv. Im curious if @deepresearch knows what this are :)) Cheers!

Naaah, I'm too young I guess. There was long nothing and suddenly everybody had a PC when I was 10 or 12. I could have known one guy having this tech, however we didn't get along together that well.

Neh, that's not me, this kid was buying them from the market, I was buying them from a proper shop :))

When I was younger I used to buy GameBoy cartridges, I really loved this little computer, Iam still thinking about to buy me one...

heheh not only I do remember and was a huge fan... even played yesterday some NES games on my laptop with emulator :) funny coincidence!
i haven't been playing for a long time till yesterday...
i still keep my consoles and cartridges... we've spent a lot of hours on that with my brother and friends in the 90s :D

There are still shops in Japan that sells this. Pre-covid I would look for some game to buy for my famicom. They're still pricey though..
