I'm so excited! It is especially wild for all the Jews in town who immediately fear the worst from a Muslim mayor. NYC is, after all, one of the most heavily populated Jewish cities on earth. But I fear not, as I think a lot of it was fearmongering from the elite trying to sway the Jewish voters away from the popular choice.
I think he will do a great job leading this city, if he is allowed to by the state legislature. At the very least, it sends a warning message to anyone who isn't willing to come to the table to work with him: the young people have spoken and if you don't work with us, you WILL get replaced. Onward and Upward!
