Today 1st of July, is the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, and the government made an extensive campaign to promote Hong Kong's economy recovering post COVID also; tourist could enjoy the festivities, for example, some buses line, some boat line, trams and railways are offering free rides, museums are free admission and some ecological parks the same.
Last year the bus line offered free rides, but it was chaotic; because many people wanted to go outside and take the free rides.
I had the chance to take a free ride bus and go somewhere around Hong Kong; however, to return home, I needed to make a long queue.
Nevertheless, today it was a rainy day where I live, and I preferred to take a free ride using the railway only. sometimes on weekends, I like to take this transportation and enjoy the ride watching through the windows. Because most of the lines run in circles, and nobody will ask you to leave when you arrive at the end.

This kind of transportation is called Light rail there is only in New Territories in Hong Kong, more specific in Yuen Long and Tuen Mun district.
I have tried it a few times when I visited Hk. It was fun!
