A Hectic Monday
It was a hectic Monday at work. It was the day off for the Indian doctor. Hence, I was the single GP doctor on duty. I had to work for 11 hours and a half, instead of the regular 9 hours of duty. I had to consult 59 patients in my chamber. I also had to examine 43 people who came for the visa medical fitness check-up.
There was an interesting case on Monday. He was an expatriate. January 2022 he visited me first. That day he came with severe acute lower back pain following bouts of sneezing!! I gave painkiller injections and oral medicines (according to the computer history). On Monday, again he had other bouts of sneezing. Followed by acute lower back pain, similar to that of 2022!! Again I gave the same painkiller injections and oral medicines!
Sneezing is written as one of the causes of sudden musculoskeletal pain. However, we don't get the exact cases often. This guy was an exceptional case. His special sneezing (!) caused acute LBP in two instances! We don't know when he will have the next special sneeze!
