Decided to go on yet another walking adventure along the inner streets of the ever touristic Las Ramblas, found a secret garden if you go through the Petit Palace Boqueria Garden Hotel (the reception wouldn't even stop you), and also discovered the church of Santa Maria Del Pi, and let me tell you how they have an even better view from their rooftop compared to Barcelona Cathedral! (and also at a cheaper entryway)
Though smaller inside, it's worth to appreciate the lesser tourists you'd encounter here (there were only 6 of us who went to the 360° rooftop of this church's bell tower), there's no elevator but as long as you can take the 275 steps of narrow, winding stairs, you'd be greeted by a magnificent, unobstructed view of Barcelona - from Montjuic to Barceloneta Beach!
Also loved the stained glass reflection from Santa Maria Del Pi and they also have a solitary garden inside which houses their fish pond and two wonderful church cats who were adopted by the establishment! Had the honor of being greeted by one of them as I was the only one at the time to head to the garden- Romy was quite the talkative lady (I assume, 'cuz she looked pregnant?), before she continued to follow another staff of the church. A busy day well spent!
