A slightly drizzly day from the city of Lleida where I went with the class on a private bus tour - it took 2 hours of travel time.
Here you can see the ancient cathedral of the city where it towers over the land below as it was also used as a sort of military fortress back in the day. It now sits as more of a museum and it's thankfully easy to get up here using the elevators which also offer an amazing view of the surroundings! Curiously also spotted some stray cats that were feeding from containers left with food for them... 🤔
After Lleida was a quick stopover in the town of Aitona, which was only 30 minutes away by bus. If you research pics of this place, they really market their peach blossom trees and it would have looked good had most of the flowers had blossomed, but sadly the dry spell seemed to have also reached this agricultural town and we only saw some buds across a field of trees. Maybe a trip worth noting sometime at the end of the month and not earlier. 😉
