a day in the life of an inno: February 5 2024

yesterday, monday was both a curse and a blessing.

it snowed! how do i put this right? it was raining the whole day until it became cold enough to be snow flakes. tokyo usually get a day or two of snow a year, and oh so it did. it outdid itself in the snow department. for a big city, snow is hazardous. trains stop, vehicles need more than patience to drive safely. good for me 'coz i stayed at home but i sympathize with those outside.

snow is lovely though; those little white things floating like fairy dusts still has magic. for a person born near the equator, like me, snow is not natural at all. i often wonder how it feels back when i was young. it took me 20+ years before i experienced my first snow. i was mesmerized, like a child whose wish got fulfilled. i still get that feeling though, but i'd rather watch it from inside my warm room.

as it was snowing heavily, the gym was empty. just saw 3 people walk in and out at different times. we had the gym to ourselves: no time pressure for using each equipment. here goes our routine.

pull-ups (12 x 10)
barbell biceps curl (24.7kg x 3 x 12)
barbell overhead press (24.7kg x 3 x 12)
dumbbell shoulder press (40kg x 3 x 12)
seated biceps curls (25kg x 3 x 12)
hammer curls (20kg x 3 x 12)
dumbbell front raises (16kg x 3 x 12)
dumbbell side lateral raise (16kg x 3 x 30) (front, mid, and back)

snow definitely mellowed down when we went home but the ground was white. very difficult to walk around, slipping is a big fear unlocked.
