It was a hot day, but a beautiful summer night — the perfect evening to join some friends for a concert down by the lake. There’s an area there called The Commons where there are local events sometimes, like concerts in the band shell, a really great art festival, and fireworks at 4th of July.
I got most of my steps for the day by walking to and from the lake, but I also had a short workout in the morning.
When I arrived, I had to take a moment to enjoy a view of the boats on the lake.
Then I had to find my friends in the sea of people.
Found them!
This particular event is a fund raiser.
The band was doing Neil Young covers, which was fun. It got dark quickly.
Most people packed up chairs and left after the last song, but we were having so much fun talking that we stayed a while.
My last photo of the day was this rather spooky image of one of my friends walking back from the men’s room.
