Today I had the honor of being the photographer for a family portrait for my sister and brother-in-law, @preparedwombat, and their family, and they said it would be fine to share one of them. We selected a nearby park with some wonderful fall colors.
It was a great day. Not too sunny, which can bleach out pictures! I thought the photos turned out well, and it was quite fun for me.
Incidentally, we were at the same park where I went walking yesterday, so I will share a few more of my walking photos that didn’t make it into yesterday’s post.
Autumn really amazes me. Here in Minnesota, where we have to “winterize,” and where the landscape freezes so completely that we can drive on the lakes, the preceding season seems like an incredible gift — like a parting kiss from nature in recompense for what is to come.
Just a few more pictures — for my “funky edit” for this week’s Sublime Sunday post, I toyed with filters for one of my pictures.

I brought out more of the orange in my first edit.
Next I filtered for black and white. It almost looks like winter, doesn’t it?
