I stayed around the house after taking a short walk this morning. It started raining in the afternoon and I did not have a lot to do.
I'm still gently working on my arm, and it feels like the range of motion is improving. It generally is pain free but I still can't lay on my right side for too long. It seems to take a long time to get over shoulder issues.
The next purchase might be some solar panels for the roof. I'm still not sure as yet if it is a good idea at this time. The roof will need to be replaced in another ten to fifteen years, and it costs a lot to remove solar panels to replace the roofing. At that point, there might be better panels to put back up as a replacement. It is always tough to know when the best time to make such an investment is.
Helping with the generation of clean, renuable power feels good. I think that is a primary concern now, and you never know what electricity is going to cost if we don't transition away from increasing scarce fossil fuel resourses.
If the dollar goes down in value, I might not be able to afford new solar panels. Decisions, decisions...

Glad to hear that the arm is getting a better range of motion. I find that many people heal faster with the aid of physical therapy. Not sure if you went through them already. I had a shoulder issue and the massage and heat treatment along with the exercises was much better than I thought could ever happen.
I thought it might be worth a mention.
The roof is a tricky one. I actually put a new roof on a little earlier in one of my houses for the very same reason! It was a tough decision, but, taking it off would be $$ and some places gave a tax incentive for the panels. Look at it both ways and see if it might be worth it I also put into the equation my earning power at the time, which was a huge factor for me.

I'm glad the orchids look happy. They have been a bit tough to take care of and I worry a bit about their health but so far they seem to be doing alright.
I've been thinking a bit about trying physical therapy or at least getting a better understanding of what might be going wrong with my arm.
There are some good incentives for solar power right now. It is hard for me to estimate but maybe I can talk to someone that can give some better numbers and ideas about it.
indeed the cost of electricity now is quite expensive if there is no other help, and also your interest is very good.
The shoulder injury was really very painful, because I also had it last year. Forget about exercising, doing normal activities is very difficult. Get well soon @lightslasher 😇
Glad to hear your arm is getting better day by day, is the use of electricity there generated from solar power? in my area solar power has only just been used in a few special places mostly using electricity provided by the government,
I hope the dollar price continues to stabilize so you can invest in your new solar,
as usual the orchids that you display are so beautiful they look so lush
I keep telling myself that if I'm gonna have extra cash in the future then I will install solar panels to help lessen our electricity consumption; it hasn't happened yet but hopefully in the next 3 years I will be able to afford it.
