I am enjoying the early morning hikes with my daughter. We are not really hiking together since we each go our own speed- but we have the car rides to and from.
Today, I took a bag along and picked up trash and dog poop on the way down.
All I have to say is that people are pigs. They don’t clean up after their dogs and I find it rude and inconsiderate.

About how far do you hike to get the amazing view of the valley?
That particular trail is 1.5 miles one way - but it goes up pretty steep. it is a 1000' elevation gain.
That's a respectable hike, for sure!

Animals should have the right for cleaning them properly.
Unfortunately, I think people believe that it doesn't matter as it's way out where people aren't. I've encountered the same situation on the Gold Mine Trail. That trail is very narrow in spots and of course, the poo is in the middle. If you aren't looking, you step in it. Of course, there is no doggie bag dispenser at the trailhead, but they should move it out of the foot path at the very least! Also, do people think the plastic stuff, or aluminum cans they drop will just disappear over time? Sure they will.............. 🙄😡 It's sad really. Okay.......I'll get off my soapbox now, lol!
