So, that and is Fishos. I got stitches in my foot there from a fin cut surfing when I was 14 and a few years ago got run over by a board there and got six stitches in my forearm. On a big day it can be good. I have photos of me and Dad racing the horses up that beach. Couldn't do it now.
And Point Danger, yep, that's where I spent a LOT of time as a kid as Dad used to windsurf then kiteboard there in the summer when the wind blew right. Dad used to do a drive by the 'point' nearly every day. Where's Dad? Down the point. Many walks from there to Jan Juc along the cliffs. Chats with people you knew on the way. And when my boy was little, all the Mums would take the littles down the beach all day there because it's a gentle place for them. Many rice crackers and grapes! Honestly I have a million zillion memories there. Now it's often too busy for me to bother.
God, the stories I have just on that stretch of beach .. a million. Let alone the town itself. My country.
It was all pretty quiet today just before it rained, but I could just imagine it packed out in school holidays with some surf. I thought I recognized some spots, but I think it was more likely memories of your photos from your posts. Like the carved wooden seats along the walkway. They have a parkrun on the gravel behind whites beach we will probably do it on Saturday.
Oh fun. Those carved wooden seats are great. I know the artist. He is also in a local band called Moonah. Today would have been lovely. And the water is warm still. Go swimming!
Definitely after parkrun on Saturday, today just disappeared to quick
