'Twelve hours'

How much is 12 hours worth? 720 minutes, a handful of seconds, a breath.
It took that long for Silicon Valley bank to fail.
After the discovery of the insolvency, the banking stock opened on the stock market with a minus 64%.
The rush to find a buyer was useless. No one has detected it.
Silicon Valley bank, although strongly linked to hi-tech companies, was a traditional bank, a bank of the traditional economic system, which is showing its cracks again after the 2010 crash. And then, if an exchange or a crypto project fails, everyone is ready to rail against speculation.
What if tradition fails?
Wall Street held up. It has been suffice declaring that the number of hirings in traditional jobs over the past month has been higher than expected.
Asia creaks. I await (with terror) the opening of the European stock exchanges.
US positivism is not infecting me.
Meanwhile I set the oven timer for my potatoes: tonight I have dinner, tomorrow is another day.

Tanto ci è voluto perché la Silicon Valley bank fallisse. Dopo la scoperta dell'insolvenza, il titolo bancario ha aperto in borsa con il -64%. A nulla è servita la corsa a cercare un acquirente. Nessuno l'ha rilevata.
Silicon Valley bank, per quanto fortemente legata alle aziende hi-tech, era una banca tradizionale, del sistema economico tradizionale, che mostra di nuovo le sue crepe dopo il crack del 2010.
E allora, se fallisce un exchange o un progetto crypto tutti pronti ad inveire sulla speculazione.
E se a fallire è la tradizione?
Wall street ha retto. È bastato dire che il numero assunzioni nei lavori tradizionali nell'ultimo mese è stato superiore alle aspettative. L'Asia scricchiola.
Io aspetto (con terrore) l'apertura delle borse Europee.
Il positivismo USA non mi sta contagiando.
Intanto imposto il timer del forno per le mie patate: stasera ceno, domani è un altro giorno.)
