After our walk through the vineyards we continued driving.
Next stop: Oberkirch.
A town well known as a stronghold of the local carnival.
Our parking spot was not free but well worth it.
About three hundred meters and we were already in the old town.
Close enough to leave the van and simply walk.
The pedestrian zone was surprisingly lively for a weekday.
A market was taking place.
Vegetables. Meat products. Fish.
People talking, buying, passing through.
Politics was also present.
With elections coming up this Sunday many parties had their stands set up.
One man approached me and started a conversation.
It didn’t take long until we reached the point where our views differed.
I explained calmly why I would never vote for his party.
He looked surprised and simply said: “Too bad.”
I answered: “Your choice.”
Short exchange. Clear positions.
Later in the evening we went for dinner at Platzhirsch.
Good food. A full day behind us.
Then back to the van.
Ending the day quietly before continuing the journey.
Observed while moving. Left unfinished.
