Off to Lynx Lake this afternoon for a loop on the trail on a very cool Monday.
It was freezing 🥶 again this morning when Lulu and I headed out for our morning walk. At least the air was still and the sun was shining brightly on us. No one else was out and it was an uneventful 2 miles for us.
The Forest Service has been draining Lynx Lake recently so the level was a few feet lower and with December just a few days away there was only one canoe out on the quiet water.
There were still plenty of hikers enjoying the trail so Lulu received plenty of attention as we cruised along on the eastern dirt trail.
Just a few people fishing and a couple of families enjoying a picnic down at the Southside area so we didn't pause at that halfway point (plus Lulu spotted a squirrel in the forest and gave a bit of a chace) and simply headed back along the paved western path.
As usual on our Lynx walks, Lulu had to get in a few splashes and sips in the lake before finishing our wonderful hike.
