My Actifit Report Card: April 18 2024

Off onto the winding Spence Spring trails this morning with Lulu for 5 hard miles of hiking - thankfully the trail made the distance seem much easier and we had a good time.

Just an easy 2 miles first thing this morning to get loosened up. I had to prompt Lulu a bit initially to keep her moving as all she wanted to do was sniff and pee on every little shrub. After a while she decided to take the lead and we quickly completed our walk.
Spence Spring parking wasn't too busy at the farther trailhead and we crossed paths with only one mountain biker. The first couple of miles were pretty much downhill but the trail was very twisting so the mileage was deceiving.

Our route was mostly on the single track sections but we did enjoy the wide and flat Javelina Trail for a bit before heading back onto the narrow trail shore the more difficult uphill route back to the start.
It wasn't too warm but I made sure to pack a couple of bottles of water for us both.
Soon enough we joined up with the Javelina Trail again for the last half mile or so to wrap it up.

Is this park a natural reserve?
keep it up my friend🔥💪

It's in the Prescott National Forest. We have a very good local trails organization that works on the widespread trail system and the community works hard to maintain them.
