After several boring but productive days running on the nearby roads it was time for some welcome (and much tougher)trail mileage
There were already mountain bikers hitting the trail when I started but they're easy enough to pass on the trails. The first couple of miles were slooooow as my legs were feeling the effects of my recent fasting routine plus it was a steady climb towards the Javelina trailhead but soon enough it was time for a more relaxed rolling descent for the next 4 or so miles.
After a short leg on the wide open Javelina Trail it was back onto the final winding and quick paced track to the finish.
A relaxing loop on the Metate Trail up in Granite Basin later in the afternoon with Lulu was a wonderful finish to the day.
