Hello, Hivians! Hope our day has been great. Did you burn some calories today? I did. I took a walk down to the market and got some for the home and then returned back.😜
This market is a big market. It is mostly a grocery market. We go there to buy foodstuffs. Whenever we want to prepare soup or any other meal at home, we get to the market to buy them. Some of those items must be purchased fresh as keeping them for long could make them get spoiled.
Let me take you around and show you some of the common food items in our market. 😍🥰
This is the road to the market. There are several shopping malls on this road.
These are confectioneries. You know children love these so much 😀
This stall has those confectioneries and other candies for sale.
These are tricycles. We call them keke. They're use to transport people and goods to and from the market.
The cartons use are seeing in these pictures are used to package processed foods.
These are tubers of yam arranged for sale. Yam is one of our stable food.
This is meal - beef.
This is palm oil. We use it to cook soup.
These are cow skin, pomo. It is our cheaper alternative to beef.
These are smoked fish. It gives customary taste to our local delicacies.
These are onions. There are use as spices.
These are pepper and tomatoes.
These are ripe plantains.
Those stuffs in the nylon are loaves of bread. These creamy stuffs on the white tray are shea butter.
