Sunday Funday in the woods with the dogs this morning. We waited for sunrise, although it was overcast when we first started so no actual sunshine.. but at least daylight. We went and picked up Lady for the weekly hike in the woods... and they were ready!!
We got a little bit of snow the other day, so the woods weren’t just brown... but had a thin coat of white.
And the frost makes the dullest object quite beautiful.
There are quite a few hunters in these woods. Although we didn’t see any today, someone has been sitting in this tree watching for a deer to make into dinner.
Got my hubby a pair of GoreTex hiking boots for Christmas... after a two hour w hike they were rubbing a little bit,.. I hope it is just a matter of breaking them in.
About half way (where we turn around) there’s a little stream, it was mostly frozen. Just a thin layer of ice, so we didn’t try walk on it. I have a feeling it would not have ended well.
On the way back to the car, Dude did his usual stunt.. he keeps running in front, a little too far away for our taste,.. but he stops and waits until he can see us, then runs off again.
I wasn’t able to score an automaticwin today, but I did score an #Win
8 kilometers on a Sunday morning... not too shabby.
Since we shopped groceries for an entire army last Sunday, we still have food enough and no need for us to go get groceries today.... yay!! Did the weekly laundry and chillaxed knitting and watching some tv.
Can’t believe I still have another week off... not really sure what to do, but I have a couple of knitting projects to work on.
