The "paintings were actually made up of trash and debris found on beaches, then painted. The photos are likely prettier because we see colors and design, not trash.

I can't really tell squirrels from otters at this limited resolution but the level of detail look a little too realistic for coming from a paintbrush. The use of recycled materials is always heartwarming.
