It's time to mix it up again and as I often do, I am going to take inspiration for the week number. So, it being week 92 of Three Tune Tuesday, this week, I am going to dine on songs that were released in 1992.
That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?
It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.
This is my 92nd week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.
It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!
Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.
We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find three or five hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.
I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.
For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.
Here are my week ninety one recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday
** Drum roll please.....**
House of Pain - Jump Around
OK, to any of the younger folks who may never have heard this one, you're welcome, this my friends is the very definition of a banger! Guaranteed to lively up any dancefloor from Berlin to Beirut and Ballinasloe to Burma.
Ah, this one never gets old for me, and just wants me to yep, Jump Around. Press play and enjoy DJ Lethal, Danny Boy, and Everlast doing their thing. I have no idea if they are still performing, but they were quality back in the day, although I don't know much of their other stuff other than this classic to be fair.
Guns N' Roses - November Rain
9 minutes and 16 seconds for a song and every bit of it worthwhile in my humble opinion. It just would not fly today in this modern world, where everything seems to have to be instant, quick, immediate. Well this song is none of these things and I love a good long song like this or Pink Floyd's gem Shine on you crazy diamond.
Guns n Roses were an absolute institution back in the 90s and rightly so, as they really have some serious classics. A friend of mine went to their concert in Ireland a few years back, and he said it was one of the best concerts he'd been to, perhaps a little nostalgic but there you go.
Right enough of my blabbering, you have 9 minutes and 16 to get through, so head on down and press play and enjoy Axl, Slash, Gilby and the boys doing their thing.
R.E.M. - Nightswimming
Again, any of the younger heads here, if you don't know R.E.M., do yourself a favour and find the album Automatic for the People which came out in 1992. It's a classic album and it is jammed full of quality. Honestly I could have easily picked any of the songs from this album which starts off with the song Drive, which is a favourite of mine and includes the one most of you will recognise Everybody Hurts, but I have opted for Nightswimming which has always been my favourite song from the album.
The Prodigy - Out Of Space
Sure look it, you can't go talking about 1992 and not mention The Prodigy and their debut album The Experience. I know it is Three Tune Tuesday and all of that, but I will use some poetic license and give you all a bonus track, as I could not only pick three, so here is your bonus track from the lunatics from Braintree, Essex.
I have seen Keith and the lads a few times live, and they are definitely better in a tent or a theatre/arena. The time I saw them on a stage, their sound was absolutely shite and it was a big disappointment, but the other two times they were class.
ThreeTune Spotify Playlist
Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft added some tunes to a playlist in the early days and there are around 600 tunes there which is class. You can check those out here:
HBI contest - win 8HBI
Share your Three Tune Tuesday songs below or create a post with #ttt or #threetunetuesday and mention me so I can find the post.
I'll pick the three songs I enjoyed the most each week as the winner and transfer 1 share of HBI to the winner when this post pays out 7 days from now, but wait there's more...
Three Tune Tuesday Sponsors
My old pal and brother from another mother @blanchy has also committed a share of HBI each week and so have six other Three Tune legends @blackdaisyft @hannes-stoffel @tengolotodo @inthenow @wwwiebe and @grindan so now the winner will receive eight shares of HBI, not too shabby at all folks.
Thanks a million to our sponsors above.
Sin é, That's all folks, thanks for stopping by.
That's it for another week. Those are your three songs for week ninety two. Let me know what you think - good, bad or indifferent? Did you like them all or just one or two?
Also, as I said before, I love getting good steers for new tunes, so please tell me about the latest and greatest from your playlist below and I'll be sure to check em out.
The YouTube videos shared are not owned by me and I am simply sharing great music with the community here on Hive
Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.
Peace Out

Wow canciones memorables...banda sonora de mi vida. Gracias por compartir esta publicación. Saludos!
Saludos 🤟
such classic and brilliant tunes, all fabulous and bring back memories ....
Nice one, thanks a mil
This playlist makes me feel like I’m at a middle school dance with my pants on backwards (Kris Kross) dancing in the circle in the middle of the gym. 🤣
Das EFX’s They Want Effects was another huge song that year.
Well fuck me @boxcarblue!!! Das EFX’s They Want Effects is unreal and would you believe , it's new to me and has just been added to my fave playlists, feckin love it!! That's my top #ttt recommendation I can remember in a while, nice one.
This made me laugh!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to hear it. That’s another album to listen to in its entirety on your next road trip.
Good shout, and I did just that last Thursday on the way to Dublin, great album, that early 90s hip hop was quality 👌
Wtf, I never knew Everlast was part of HOP! You learn something new every day!
Ya man, there ya go, Everlast is some man with a lot of history. I must do a #ttt on him soon
Such a good year in a great musical decade. 👏
Okay, here goes nothing:
1. "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston
Whitney belongs on every list, I do believe... and this song from the film "The Bodyguard" with her and Kevin Costner has become one of her iconic hits. A must listen.
2. "Enid" by The Barenaked Ladies
This is one of the better-known tunes off the hit album, "Gordon". If you're not familiar with these dudes, you just may fall in love for a spell. Very creative stuff. The song "Brian Wilson" is another favorite of mine from the same album.
3. "Change" by Blind Melon
This band still has a cult following, and they produced quite a few radio hits during their short road before the lead singer, Shannon Hoon, died. This song from their debut self-titled 1992 album is one of my favorites... more pure and simple than other album selections, but I highly recommend giving the whole thing a listen.
That was fun. I'll have to participate more often. Cheers! 🤘
Ya man, and 1991 was even better with Pearl Jam's 10, RHCP Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Nirvana's Nevermind, My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, GNR - Use you Illusion I all dropping and there were loads more...
If you want to enter comp, you need to do a post and tag me @ablaze and inlcude #threetunetuesday in your post tags at the bottom and include videos for the three tunes, you can just copy and paste your commentary from above then too - cheers!
Oh, I see!
That gives me a good reason to get over this hump of mine.
Coming up. 😉
Excellent 👌

Thank you.
How good are all these songs @ablaze ! You gave us a tour of 1992.
I prefer the one from R.E.M. which I also love.
A hug!
Hey there @sirenahippie, thanks a million, delighted that you enjoyed the tour!
I really enjoyed, good songs!
Glad you enjoyed them
That was a pretty epic playlist. 92 was a crazy year. House of Pain hit the scene like a nuclear bomb. Legit White dude Hip Hop. They set the bar. GnR were still killing it after 4 years on the scene, REM releases another excellent tune and then raving blew up. 92 was the year I started raving. It was nuts, the music was nuts, illegal warehouse parties all over So. Cal. Prodigy took us to another dimension which for me became the Drum and Bass dimension. Definitely a special year. Awesome picks!
Here's my playlist this week - https://ecency.com/hive-150329/@rt395/make-it-one-for-my
🍻
Sounds like some fun memories there my friend, some mad nights no doubt!! 🤣🤣🤣
The 90s often gets a bad rep for music, but not for me, there was some exceptional albums in that decade too, that I still listen to regularly today.
Looking forward to checking them out, but still catching up on this week's tunes, as I need to pick a winner by COB and get the showcase out!!
Great songs bro...
There are still some 8 mins to 9 mins song being made mate😂😂😂, and from what I've heard almost all of them are mind-blowing
R.E.M's was pretty dope 😃✨
There are, but they are in the minority, more typical they will be around 3 minutes if you're lucky and many are very manufactured and samey... There are lots of exceptions too though, and there was plenty of shit music back in my day too, the cream rises to the top over time and we only remember the good stuff..
I guess your right on that aspect🙂
Boom: MY 1992 MIXED TAPE
