"The Islands" is powerful and does indeed paint a vivid picture of Island life, this is another song that's new to me.
Kilkelly - Wow tear jerker is right. The famine was so tragic, millions dead and emigrated never to return. The photos capture the emotions well. Terrible that they couldn't get back to bury their mother.
