How ironic, while there's war escalating again in one part of the world another one more and more comes to peace.
Countries are reunited again (I live through that in Germany myself) while others are torn apart.
Will we ever come to peace on earth?

Well said Hannes-stoffel and to be honest to answer that last question, I would say no there never will be, so long as us humans are here. We innately seem to always want more and more. That greed is the seed for so much of what is wrong, sure you only need to look at the whole climate change problem. It has been proven that if we don't alter our ways that we will make large parts of our planet inhabitable for the generations to come, yet change is so very very slow in coming about.

This speech from Carl Sagan should be mandatory viewing for people which puts things into perspective about the Earth being our only home.

I remember back in school, 6th and 7th grade we "had to" listen to such music in English class

It's funny how you hated it, and you's probably pay money for it now, It is interesting how we change and morph as we grow older.

    No one was really able to teach me or I was the problem? Don't know.

    Took me years of pain to get through school with that and when I was an adult I learned it by watching TV shows and at some point it completely switched around, became interested in the cultural background and stuff like that.

    Life is mysterious like that.

    Thanks again for that speech, that just enriched my life (and cultural background knowledge).
