¡Saludos, Hive! Hoy traigo un post muy diferente a lo habitual. Esta vez, traigo un cover para tuba de la canción Love of my Life de la legendaria banda británica, Queen.
Esta canción fue escrita por Freddie Mercury y pertenece al álbum A Night at the Opera de 1975. Durante las presentaciones en vivo, esta canción gustaba tanto que usualmente Freddie Mercury dejaba de cantar para que el público cantara completamente, esta interacción con el público motivo a la banda para escribir We Will Rock You y Radio Ga Ga, ya que tenían la participación del público en mente.
Greetings, Hive! The post I’m bringing you today is a very different one. This time, I bring a tuba cover of the song Love of my Life by the legendary British band, Queen.
This song was written by Freddie Mercury and belongs to the 1975 album A Night at the Opera. During live performances, this song was so popular that Freddie Mercury usually stopped singing to let the audience sing along, this interaction with the audience motivated the band to write We Will Rock You and Radio Ga Ga Ga, as they had audience participation in mind.

La idea de hacer este cover surgió a principios de septiembre del año pasado (2020), como un incentivo para retomar mi instrumento (si, como se habrán dado cuenta tengo bastantes conflictos existenciales con la tuba) y para promocionar contenido de nuestra banda el Ensamble Multiverso, aparte de que es una canción bellísima y una de mis favoritas de Queen.

Me puse en contacto con un buen amigo, Efraín Martínez, y él me ayudó muchísimo ya que el hizo el arreglo, la pista, y la edición de sonido. En la edición de video estuvo Edgardo Nogera, también un amigo de Multiverso.
Por alguna razón el video no vio luz sino hasta el 14 de febrero del presente año, dónde se subió a las redes sociales de Multiverso. Ahora Hive, me ofrece la posibilidad de darle una nueva oportunidad a este video porque sinceramente me gustó como quedó.
The idea of doing this cover came up at the beginning of September of last year (2020), as an incentive to take up my instrument again (yes, as you may have noticed I have quite a few existential conflicts with the tuba) and to promote content for our band Ensamble Multiverso, and also the fact that it’s a beautiful song and one of my favorites by Queen. I got in touch with a good friend, Efrain Martinez, and he helped me a lot since he did the arrangement, the track, and the sound editing. Edgardo Nogera, also a friend of Multiverso, was in charge of the video editing.
For some reason the video didn't see the light of day until February 14 of this year, where it was uploaded to Multiverse's social networks. Now, Hive, offers me the possibility to give this video a new opportunity because I sincerely liked the way it turned out.

Subir esto es bien significativo para mí porque tengo muy poca seguridad musicalmente hablando, y en mi vida he subido muy pocos videos tocando tuba, quizás dos o tres, incluso al momento de hacer esta publicación me siento bastante nervioso por la receptividad que tendrá. Se puede decir que esta fue la primera “producción” que me tomé en serio y para que fuese un contenido netamente de redes sociales.
Uploading this is very significant to me because I have very little confidence musically speaking, and in my life I have uploaded very few videos playing tuba, maybe two or three, even at the time of making this publication I feel quite nervous about the receptivity it will have. We could say that this was the first "production" that I took seriously and for it to be a purely social networking content.
