MY MOST FAVORITE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, OF COURSE THE SAXOPHONE! IT IS HE TRANSMITTING - BEAUTY, WARMTH AND TENDERNESS, SIMILAR TO THE HUMAN VOICE.
The inventor of the musical instrument called the saxophone is, of course, Adolf Sax. He was born in Belgium, the city of Dinant on November 6, 1814. Now this musical wind instrument is already familiar to all lovers of music, especially jazz. But what was the fate of the inventor of this wonderful musical instrument? Komerad Adolf was reputed to be quite interesting - one day he broke off and fell from the third floor, somehow swallowed a pin, mixing up the milk - he drank sulfuric acid diluted with water! And also, somehow badly burned, experimenting with powder charges, swimming in the river, almost drowned.
Well, in short, everything, like all famous, talented and eccentric people! How did he get into the world of music? And there is an answer to this too. From early childhood, Adolf Sachs worked for his father, a music master, and constantly looked for ways to improve the instruments that he helped create, and these are clarinets and bassoons, which they even ordered from the royal court. It was the famous French composer, conductor and music writer who in 1842 first called a new musical instrument developed by A. Sachs a saxophone. He also became the author of the first work with the participation of a saxophone.
It was from that moment on that the victorious march across the countries of the world of this wonderful musical instrument began. Because this year the saxophone was first presented by him at an exhibition in Paris. And already on March 21, 1846 A. Sax received a patent in France for "a system of wind instruments called saxophones", which included 8 varieties. He opened a factory for the production of musical instruments, including saxophones. But A. Sachs had a lot of envious people and competitors, who eventually brought him to complete bankruptcy and the sale of all property. A. Sachs died in complete poverty on February 7, 1894, his ashes rest in the cemetery of Montmartre. Such a sad story.
I suggest listening to beautiful melodies with the participation of a saxophone:
Dave Brubeck - Take Five
Pink Floyd - Us and Them
Dave Stewart & Candy Dulfer - Lily Was Here
Dire Straits - Your Latest Trick
George Michael - Careless Whisper
Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
David Bowie- Young Americans
Henry Mancini - Peter Gunn
