La producción que compartiremos en este capítulo se trata de captura de audio para una entrevista hecha al maestro Hernán Marín por el productor audiovisual Héctor Granado (@hectgranate)

Greetings dear friends of #hive, we welcome you to the fifth chapter of SESSIONS, as always thanking all the support received. The production that we will share in this chapter is about audio capture for an interview made to the teacher Hernán Marín by the audiovisual producer Héctor Granado (@hectgranate)

🔸EL ARTISTA / THE ARTIST🔸
🎤 Hernán Marín es un cultor y folclorista venezolano oriundo de mi ciudad natal Cumaná. Nació en 1940 y ha investigado y cultivado la música ancestral desde muy joven. Fundador del famoso grupo musical "ORIENTE" y actualmente es uno de los más preciados exponentes del folklore y de nuestro joropo estribillo.
🎤 Hernán Marín is a Venezuelan cultist and folklorist from my hometown Cumaná. He was born in 1940 and has researched and cultivated ancestral music from a very young age. He is the founder of the famous musical group "ORIENTE" and is currently one of the most precious exponents of folklore and our joropo refrain.
🔸PRODUCCIÓN / PRODUCTION🔸
🎚️ Realizar la captura de audio para un audiovisual se basa en el estudio del entorno y como este puede interactuar con las herramientas de captura. En este caso la grabación se realizo en una sala con algunos muebles, la fuente se encontraba en el centro del salón rodeada de ciertos elementos sonoros a los que había que controlar, como puertas y ventanas abiertas que permitían el acceso al ruido externo.
🎚️ Carrying out the audio capture for an audiovisual is based on the study of the environment and how it can interact with the capture tools. In this case, the recording was made in a room with some furniture, the fountain was in the center of the room surrounded by certain sound elements that had to be controlled, such as open doors and windows that allowed access to external noise.
🎧 Usamos nuestro kit de grabación portátil: un micrófono MXL 960 con su stand, una interfaz UX1 Line6 y una laptop dotada de software para la captura de audio. La posición del micrófono debe estar a una distancia prudencial que permita la captura con bajo sonido ambiente pero lo suficientemente alejada del encuadre de la cámara de video.
🎧 We used our portable recording kit: an MXL 960 microphone with its stand, a UX1 Line6 interface and a laptop equipped with audio capture software. The position of the microphone must be at a safe distance to allow capture with low ambient noise but far enough from the frame of the video camera.
🎤 Capturar el audio en un audiovisual tiene muchas ventajas, desde la obtención de un archivo sonoro de alta calidad, hasta la posibilidad de tener una base sonora que permita la sincronización de imágenes cuando se graba con varias camaras en simultaneo.
🎤 Capturing audio in an audiovisual has many advantages, from obtaining a high-quality sound file, to the possibility of having a sound base that allows image synchronization when recording with several cameras simultaneously.
🎛 A pesar de que el audio se capturo con el programa Adobe Audition, el tratamiento se realizo en el estudio bajo Logic Pro. En vista de que el audio iba para un estudio en Argentina, el tratamiento del audio se baso en la limpieza de frecuencias indeseadas y un poco de carácter analógico sin exagerar.
🎛 Despite the fact that the audio was captured with the Adobe Audition program, the treatment was carried out in the studio under Logic Pro. Since the audio was going to a studio in Argentina, the audio treatment was based on frequency cleaning unwanted and a bit of analog character without being over the top.
✅ La experiencia de trabajar junto a un gran creativo y profesional como Héctor Granado siempre resulta muy enriquecedor. Además, poder conocer de cerca a una persona como Don Hernán Marín, un artista que ha sido reconocido como patrimonio cultural viviente, es un aprendizaje y una grata experiencia personal.
Este trabajo siempre deja una buena historia que contar, por eso lo amamos 😊.

In addition, being able to get to know a person like Don Hernán Marín up close, an artist who has been recognized as a living cultural heritage, is a learning experience and a pleasant personal experience.
