Este post se debe a que hace poco recordaba una anécdota que viví con uno de los profesores del conservatorio. Resulta que un día de ensayos, de esos donde estás estudiando una pieza que, en principio, te parece imposible de interpretar, y cuando ya yo estaba a punto de "tirar la toalla" como decimos coloquialmente, se acercó una profesor, que no era de mi catedra, pero si uno de los más admirados y respetados, ya que es , lo que en el mundo de la música conocemos como "oído absoluto" de esas personas que son capaces de reconocer el sonido de cualquier nota, en cualquier instrumento o sonido.
Recuerdo, que los alumnos le decíamos "Si Bemol" porque donde quiera que el te escuchaba ensayando se acercaba y te decía "Siiii Bemoooool" cuando tocábamos el "Si natural" sin la alteración. Bueno, en fin, ese profesor ese día que yo estaba a punto de dejar todo, recuerdo que se acercó, me pidió la flauta, (yo por un momento pensé que me la iba a decomisar o algo así) porque bueno, el personaje tenia también un carácter poco amigable. Yo le di la flauta y el la guardó en el estuche y me dijo: ¿alguna vez has leído o hasta escuchado hablar de un libro que se llama: "7 hábitos de la gente altamente efectiva"? a lo cual yo le respondí que si, si había leído el libro. Él me respondió que le parece genial que lo haya leído, pero que en base a lo que dice ese libro él me iba a dar en ese momento, los 7 hábitos de un músico altamente exitoso.
Y luego de un corto silencio, esto fue lo que me dijo.

- Crear un plan de estudio.

Nunca dejamos de aprender, por ende, nunca debemos dejar de estudiar, ya que la carrera de un músico es similar a la de un médico o un abogado, siempre hay cosas nuevas innovadoras, todos los días se aprende algo nuevo así tengamos muchísimos tiempo tocando y seamos los mejores interpretes del mundo. Un músico, siempre tiene algo nuevo que aprender, así que nunca deja de estudiar.
- Imitar a un profesional
En mi este caso que les acabo de comentar, el ejemplo que me dieron fue que escogiera un profesor del conservatorio al cual admirara mucho y tratara de imitar sus hábitos, eso ayudará a tener ejemplos claros de los pasos que se deben seguir para alcanzar el éxito.
- Tocar lentamente una pieza
Todas las piezas tienen un velocidad definida, pero eso no quiere decir que debes tocarla a la velocidad original desde un principio. Tocar lentamente va permitir identificar correctamente las notas y poco a va generando seguridad, a medida que se tenga dominado el tema, se puede ir aumentando la velocidad de manera progresiva hasta llegar la original y así todo parecerá mucho más sencillo.
- No dejar de repetir
Una de las cosas más tediosas, al menos para mi, cuando se está estudiando música, es la repetición, pero sin embargo, es la técnica que más ayudará a obtener un buen rendimiento, además de que una vez aprendida la pieza, la repetición va a permitir que cada interpretación sea cada vez mejor a la anterior, porque llega un momento en el que se toca casi de manera automática.
- Tomar nota en tus partituras
Ese profesor siempre decir: "si una partitura está en limpio (sin ningún tipo de anotaciones) es porque el alumno no está estudiando. Por lo cual, siempre es recomendable subrayar, resaltar y escribir cosas en las partituras, lo que nos va ayudar a comprender mucho mejor la pieza y evitar equivocaciones en los ensayos o las presentaciones en vivo.
