Hello everybody! Today I bring you this cover of one of my favourite bands, Type 0 Negative, with their song Love you to Death. The truth is that I've been wanting to cover this song for a long time and it was difficult for me because the voice of the bassist and vocalist, Peter Stelee, is quite low and with a very difficult style to evoke. Taking into account that I am a soprano, adapting the song to a tone that I could get close to and not lose the doom-gothic style was a total challenge. If it was done any other way it would be somewhere between power and symphonic hahaha I was very close to sounding like Nightwish (no problem, I love Nightwish) but it wasn't the result I wanted.
It was a struggle and a success to get this song out. As we had a hard time editing it because we couldn't find a good instrumental track and it was very difficult to give that EQ effect to the vocals. Finally we did it! With a lot of love and patience. Without more to say, thank you for listening to my videos, it really makes me very happy. This song is one of my favourite songs of the band, it's very deep, romantic and tragic. Recently I started to listen to Metal. But this is the first time that I heard some gothic metal. I suppose it has to be very difficult for a soprano to sing a song like this, but you have a good performance :) ¡Awesome!
