RE: If I Had A Boat - Lyle Lovett Cover

Yeah, March is a wild month for weather here ...in old folk tales they called it "the time of the brindled cow" it can seem like spring is fully here one day with clear blue skies and sunshine then the next day it can drop to below freezing temperatures and we have record-breaking snow fall.

In the time before clocks and calendars, it was a dangerous time for farmers to take their cattle high in the mountains to graze on the new grass , if the weather turned there would be a good chance of the whole herd of cattle freezing.

Blindboy just recently did a fascinating podcast about this time of year in Scotland and Ireland, its well worth a listen. He covers everything from folklore about the weather to the tales of the Arabian Hashish eater in this one :).

I wish I could hear how your backing vocals sound on this one, if you're ever touring Scotland give us a shout and we cant collaborate on this tune. Have you ever been to Edinburgh during the time of the fringe festival? You could probably make a small fortune gigging here during that time.

It's great to hear from you on this video, thanks for listening :).
