Ya he publicado un post después de varios días lejos de la plataforma. Y tenía pensado retornar con una recomendación hecha por otra compañera de Hive. Pero terminé por hacer otra cosa, así que hoy sí voy a darle su justa retribución a esta canción que forma parte de la personalidad musical de Camila Cabello.
Antes de comenzar quisiera dedicarle este post y un afectuoso abrazo a @andrearojas55 por hacerme la recomendación para esta canción.

I have already published a post after several days away from the platform. And I had planned to return with a recommendation made by another fellow Hive member. But I ended up doing something else, so today I'm going to give this song that is part of Camila Cabello's musical personality its just retribution.
Before I start I would like to dedicate this post and a warm hug to @andrearojas55 for making the recommendation for this song.
En mi post anterior, que hice sobre Havana, resaltaba los elementos caribeños e hispanos que Cabello agregaba a su música. De cómo lograba unir eficazmente un conjunto de elementos de la música latinoamericana con otros más modernos.
In my previous post, which I did about Havana, I highlighted the Caribbean and Hispanic elements that Cabello added to her music. How he was able to effectively unite a set of Latin American music elements with more modern ones.
La canción empieza con un solo de trompetas y saxofón, acompañados por un bajo muteado en un ritmo modificado del son. Luego entra la voz con el kick de la batería, a la que luego se le agregan unas palmas flamencas. Ya por aquí tenemos un uso bastante cool de elementos hispanos y caribeños, presentados en un formato más moderno.
En el coro, una guitarra eléctrica mantiene un contratiempo similar al reggae y otra que hace arpegios muteados. En el fondo escuchamos la percusión que tiene cierta similitud al trap. Todo esto agregándole un aire aún más tropical y urbano a la canción.
The song begins with a solo of trumpets and saxophone, accompanied by a muted bass in a modified son rhythm. Then the voice enters with the kick of the drums, to which some flamenco clapping is added. Here we have a pretty cool use of Hispanic and Caribbean elements, presented in a more modern format.
In the chorus, an electric guitar keeps a reggae-like backbeat and another one plays muted arpeggios. In the background, we hear percussion that has a certain similarity to trap. All this adding an even more tropical and urban air to the song.
Pero lo mejor de esta canción, al menos para mí, han sido ciertos arreglos en la producción. Por ejemplo, en los precoros, cuando usa el efecto de reverb para aumentar la amplitud y luego se corta de forma drástica, dejando sola la voz de Camila… ¡Genial!
Especialmente durante el puente (en el que además hacen un pequeño cambio en la armonía muy refrescante), cuando se agrega una línea vocal un poco a capricho y con la voz ligeramente quebrada para retornar nuevamente al coro.

But the best thing about this song, at least for me, has been certain arrangements in the production. For example, in the pre-chorus, when it uses the reverb effect to increase the amplitude and then cuts off drastically, leaving Camila's voice alone... Great!
Especially during the bridge (in which they also make a very refreshing little change in the harmony), when a vocal line is added a bit on a whim and with the voice slightly broken to return to the chorus.

Y para terminar, el solo de saxofón tenor. Es picante, divertido y sexy. Una firma muy elegante y “latina”, como en Havana, para terminar esta gran canción.
Si les puedo ser sincero, la puedo escuchar infinitas veces sin aburrirme y con unas ganas inmensas de pararme a bailar (ojalá supiera hacerlo…)
And to finish, the tenor saxophone solo. It's spicy, fun, and sexy. A very elegant and "Latin" signature, similar to Havana, to end this great song.
If I can be honest, I can listen to it infinite times without getting bored and with an immense desire to stop and dance (I wish I knew how to do it...).
